# How to format USB Flash drive using Disk Management on Windows PC

On your taskbar, click the Search form and lookup 'Create and format hard disk partitions' and select it
Right-click the USB flash drive and select Format
Create a Volume label name for the USB flash drive
Select File system format
Note: Default File system for most USB flash drives is FAT32

Tip:

The 'Quick Format' option only deletes the File system table and the root folder, but the data may still be recoverable. If you do not check the setting, a full format operation will be performed, and it will scan for bad sectors and write zeros in all sectores deleting the data.
Click OK button
Click OK to confirm formatting operation
